Sex Addiction Screening Test

Do you ever wonder if your sexual behavior might be more than just a personal issue—or even an addiction?

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck in a pattern you can't seem to break, or simply looking for answers, the Sexual Addiction Screening Test – Revised (SAST-R V2.0) is a confidential, research-based tool that can help bring clarity.

What Is the SAST-R?

The SAST-R V2.0 is a 45-question assessment developed by sexual addiction recovery expert Dr. Patrick Carnes and his team.

It’s one of the most widely used tools to help individuals identify patterns of sexually compulsive behavior that may be causing harm in their lives and relationships.

Who Is It For?

You might consider taking the SAST-R if you:

  • Feel out of control with porn, affairs, or hookups

  • Struggle with secrecy, lying, or hiding your sexual behavior

  • Experience intense shame or guilt afterward

  • Have made promises to stop—but find yourself back in the cycle

  • Feel your sexual behavior is impacting your partner, family, job, or faith

  • Are simply wondering: “Is this normal?”

What You’ll Learn

The SAST-R is more than just a yes/no quiz. It screens for a range of compulsive behaviors and risk factors, including:

  • Early exposure or trauma

  • Loss of control

  • Relationship consequences

  • Patterns of escalation

  • Use of sex to cope with stress, loneliness, or difficult emotions

What the Results Mean

Your score will fall into one of the following categories:

  • Low Likelihood of Sexual Addiction:
You may not show strong indicators of sexual addiction at this time.

  • Some Risk Factors Present:
You may have some areas of concern worth exploring with a professional.

  • High Likelihood of Sexual Addiction:
Your answers suggest a pattern that may meet the criteria for compulsive sexual behavior and would benefit from therapeutic support.

Remember: this is a screening tool, not a diagnosis. Our clinicians can provide a full assessment and help you develop a personalized path forward.
